The lady says: "I speak English, Spanish, French, Russian, Italian and German fluently", the potential boss asks: "What about Portuguese?", she answers it making a mistake: "Aí vareia". She should have said: "Aí, varia". The verb "variar" wrongly conjugated shows she doesn't really dominate the Portuguese language. "Aí vareia" is a well know expression in Brazil, for jokes. Variar means "to vary". And it sounds funny because "areia" means "sand".
